Krause, Ila L. (Marriage - 11 Oct. 1940)
In the parsonage of Salem Evangelical church in Dorchester last Friday afternoon, Miss Ila L. Krause of Dorchester exchanged vows with Sam G. Zimmerman, son of Mrs. Ethan Zimmerman of Unity, before the Rev. R. H. Browe.
The bride was attired in a street-length dress of royal blue velvet with navy accessories and carried gladioli, roses and chrysanthemums. Her gown was styled with a draped skirt and bodice top with shirred sleeves and high neckline and was trimmed with costume jewelry. Her crownless headdress, with flower trim, was also of royal blue.
Miss Birdine Molle of Unity, who was the bride’s only attendant, wore a deep wine-colored street-length dress, with fitted bodice and full skirt, trimmed with gold costume jewelry, and wore black accessories and a shoulder corsage of pompoms and roses.
The couple departed immediately after the ceremony for a few days’ visit in Duluth. They will reside at Riplinger and will be at home to friends after tomorrow.
The bridegroom was graduated from the Unity, Wis. High school, with the class of 1934, and is now employed at the Riplinger cheese box factory. His bride attended the Dorchester high school and for several months previous to her marriage was employed in St. Paul.
