Reel, Mary J. (Marriage - 26 Oct. 1940)
Miss Mary J. Reel, daughter of Mrs. Lena Reel, and Mr. Clarence F. Lake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lake, were united in marriage Saturday, October 26th, at 2:30 P.M., at the Evangelical and Reformed church parsonage, Rev. S. A. Schmiechen reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Virginia Reel was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Mr. Harold Lake.
The bride was attired in a sport dress of blue wool and her shoulder corsage consisted of roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor wore a sport dress of tan wool and her shoulder corsage also consisted of roses and sweet peas.
A reception was given at the home of Mrs. Lena Reel. The young couple will live at Elgin, Ill., where the groom is employed.
