Hanson, LaVerne (20 JUN 1939)
A beautiful double ring ceremony held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Woodville, Wis., at high noon Tuesday united Miss LaVerne Hanson and Samuel Munson in holy matrimony. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hanson of Woodville, was given in marriage by her father. The couple were attended by matron of honor, Mrs. C. Alberts of Withee, sister of the groom and Warren Hanson, brother of the bride, as best man. Other attendants were Misses Jean Orlandy of Menomonie and Miss Betty Hanson and Tome Canefield and Clarence McClellean of Menomonie. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white satin and carried a bouquet of calla lilies. The other attendants were dressed in gowns of pastel shades and each carried corresponding bouquets. The groom and his attendant wore the conventional dark business suits.
Following the service a dinner was served in the church basement to one hundred and twenty-five guests. After the dinner a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents which was followed by a supper. Late in the evening the newlyweds departed from their friends on their honeymoon which will include a six weeks or two months trip to California, where they will take in the fair.
The groom formerly lived in Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and at the present has a year of schooling left at Stout Institute at Menomonie. Upon their return home from their trip they will make their home with the groom’s parents.
