Hainzlsperger, Theresa (15 Apr. 1858 - 1 Nov. 1940)
Mrs. Joseph Hainzlsperger died at three o’clock Friday morning at her home in the city of Colby at the age of 82 years, a heart ailment and old age complications being the cause of her departure to the heavenly goal. She had been ill six weeks.
A requiem high mass was held Monday morning at 9:00 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and burial was made in the Colby cemetery. Grand sons acted as pall bearers and grand daughters were in charge of the flowers.
Mrs. Hainzlsperger, whose maiden name was Theresa Hackl, was born in Germany on April 15, 1858, and was married there on May 18, 1882, to Joseph Hainzlsperger.
The couple came to the United States in 1891 and located in LeRoy, Dodge county, where they lived for nine years. In 1899 they settled on a farm in the town of Hull and in 1920 they retired and moved to the city of Colby, Wis.
Besides her husband, ten children survive, namely - Mrs. Lena Sterzinger of Colby, Mrs. Theresa Noll of Milwaukee, Mrs. Amelia Noll of Milwaukee, Mrs. Amelia Aller of Colby, Mrs. Lucy Krieger of Milwaukee, Mrs. Mary Biersack of Milwaukee, Mrs. Bertha Koenings of Milwaukee, Otto Hainzlsperger of Neillsville, John Hainzlsperger of Colby, Mrs. Elizabeth Kern of Milwaukee and Felix Hainzsperger of Colby, Wis.
The deceased was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic church and the Christian Mothers Society. She was the mother of a large and gifted family. She was of a congenial disposition and none ever entered her home without a warm welcome nor left without feeling the warmth of a genuine hospitality. She was always willing to aid the suffering, sustain the weak and lend a helping hand when needed.
