Vanderwyst, Marie (Marriage - 14 Apr. 1941)
Marie Vanderwyst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vanderwyst of Unity, and Harvey Kademan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kademan, were united in marriage Monday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic parsonage in Colby, Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Marie Tepp was maid of honor and Miss Eileen Kademan was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Maurice Vanderwyst and Marce Wagener.
The bride was attired in a becoming dress of white satin with leg of mutton sleeves, sweetheart neckline, finger tip veil with white slippers. Her bouquet consisted of Easter lilies and pink carnations. Miss Tepp wore a formal blue net dress and Miss Kademan wore a peach net dress. Both had bouquets of sweet peas and roses pinned on their dresses.
A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents to 50 guests. The home was nicely decorated with pink and white streamers for the occasion.
In the evening, a wedding dance was given at Atwood and a nice crowd was in attendance.
The couple will make their home with the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kademan, where the groom is employed.
