Graves, Evangeline (10 JUL 1939)
Miss Evangeline Graves, graduate of the Withee High School with the class of 1935 and former student of the Owen High School, was married to DuWayne Eckes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Eckes of Marshfield, on Monday, July 10, it was announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Graves.
The ceremony was performed at 3:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Martin Russert.
For her wedding the bride was attired in an all white dress in redingote style with white accessories.
Miss Helen Snyder of Marshfield, who attended the bride, wore a dress of salmon color with a bolero jacket and white accessories. Both she and the bride wore shoulder corsages of pastel roses and baby breath.
Delbert Graves, brother of the bride, attended Mr. Eckes as best man. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Eckes left on a few week’s trip to the Black Hills, Yellowstone National Park, and other points of interest in the west. The couple will make their home at Wausau when they return home from their trip. The groom is in partnership with his father in operating the Central Tavern.
