Announcement was made the fore part of the week of the marriage of Miss Ruth Schulstad, daughter of Mrs. Eline Schulstad of Iron River, to Donald Haaya, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Haaya of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).
The couple were quietly married on Sunday, July 3, 1939, at Decorah, Ia., by J. Woodnancey. The bride wore a summer traveling suit and the groom was attired in the conventional summer dress suit.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Haaya are well known in this community. Mrs. Haaya having taught fifty grad in the Owen school system for the past two years. Prior to that time she was a faculty member of the school system at Butternut. Mr. Haaya attended the Owen school and the University of Wis. For the past several years he has been employed in his father’s grocery store.
The young couple will make their home in Owen as soon as suitable living quarters are available.
