Weinberger, Beatrice #2 (3 SEP 1939)
A quiet service was solemnized on Sunday, Sept. 3, 1939, at Decorah, Ia., at one o’clock in the afternoon which united Miss Beatrice Weinberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Weinberger of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Gordon Thorson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thorson of Withee (Clark Co.) in holy matrimony.
The bride wore a traveling suit of brown with matching accessories and a white blouse, while the groom wore a summer suit of blush green color. Following the service they enjoyed a two day trip through Iowa and southern Wisconsin visiting the Shot Tower hill and the Wis. Dells, and with relatives at Friendship and Adams.
The young people have both been very prominent in their communities and enjoy a host of friends. They will make their home temporarily with the groom’s parents until suitable living quarters may be obtained. They entertained many of their friends and relatives last evening at a wedding dance held at Merry Ol’ Gardens.
