At a quiet simple service conducted in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Ia., on Thursday, Sept. 21, 1939, Miss Lorraine Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hansen of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and Archie Roohr, son of Mrs. Elmer Roohr of Colby, were united in marriage by Rev. William Kent.
The bride and her bridesmaid, Miss Georgine Roohr, were attired in traveling suits of light blue with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of tea roses. The groom was attended by Chester Kleiber of Colby, Wis.
Immediately following the service the newlyweds left on a three-day motor trip through a section of Iowa and the southern portion of Wisconsin. Monday of this week, upon their return home, a large reception was given int heir honor at the home of the groom’s mother at Colby, Wis.
Both of the young people are well known in the community. The bride having graduated with the class of 1938 from the Owen High School and the groom was formerly employed as a driver at the Western Condensing Co. Recently he accepted a position with the Bootzin Co. The young people will make their home at Colby, Wis.
