Ringo, William (1889? - 1 OCT 1939)
William Ringo, 50, farm hand on the farm of Calvin Franz, Route One, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), met death early Sunday night when his car crashed into the guard railing of the bridge and overturned into Bahm Creek. Mike Andrucis of Route One, Owen, who was riding with Ringo, finally freed himself and crawled out of the car and onto the roadway where he was notice two hour later by William Sirtela of Longwood, who came along and assisted him.
Ringo, it is believed, was stunned when the car crashed, and drowned when trapped in the car which was in about three feet of water. County Traffic Officer W.R. Haire investigated the accident and stated no inquest would be held.
Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Griebenow-Weirich Funeral Parlors with Rev. Franzmeier of Greenwood officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
