Misener, Ida #3 (9 Nov. 1889 - 8 July 1941)

Mrs. Van Misener died at her home in Unity Tuesday morning at the age of 52 years following an illness of three years of tumor of the brain. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Rev. Olson officiating, and burial in the Colby cemetery.

Mrs. Misener, nee Ida Liepert, was born in Glenwood City in 1889, and, after living there for ten years, she was married to Van Misener on January 5, 1908.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Sgt. Glenn Misener of Camp Livingston, La., Warren of Chicago, Ray of Walworth, Ill., and Mrs. Forrest Johnson of Unity, Wis. Also three grand children and the following brothers and sisters: Herb Liepert of Canada, Oscar Liepert (should be Ewert) of Spencer, Mrs. Ann Ewert of Decatur, Mich., Minnie of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Carl Firnstahl of Michigan, Mrs. Hattie Peterson of Neillsville, Mrs. Alma Flink of Unity and Mrs. Esther Forrest of Marshfield.

Funeral services for Mrs. Van R. Misener, 52, Unity, Wisconsin who died at Unity last Tuesday, were held Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church.

Family Note: Oscar, was Ida's half-brother, with the surname of Ewert, not Liepert. Her sister, Clara, was married to Edmund Firnstahl, not Carl.
