Dickinson, Robert Wenzel (Enlistment in Navy - 1941)

Robert Wenzel Dickinson, son of Mr. George Dickinson of Colby, Wis., was accepted for enlistment in naval service at the Oshkosh recruiting station and was formally enlisted at the main station in Chicago on Wednesday, July 2, 1941. He was transferred to the Great Lakes naval training station for eight weeks period of recruit training. Upon completion of this training recruits are granted ten days leave of absence prior to assignment to a trade school or to a unit of the United States fleet.
