Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kraut spent Sunday at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut, at Medford.
Misses Ruth Green and Ann Pettit of the nurses school at Luther hospital, Eau Claire, spent Thursday and Friday with the former’s mother, Mrs. Minnie Green.
Robert Green, LaCrosse, spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Green.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Foltz and daughters, Delores and Bonnie, are spending a short vacation with relatives at Wonewoc.
Miss Linda Buss of Milwaukee arrived home on Saturday to spend her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Buss.
Wm. Klessig made a business trip to Marengo on Monday.
Mrs. Henry Scidmore left on Wednesday for a two weeks visit with relatives at Colfax.
Mrs. H. Eide and daughter, Rachel Eide of Neillsville, spent Thursday with the former’s daughter, Mrs. Arthur Laabs.
Mr. and Mrs. John Borgemoen of Cherokee were guests of the former’s sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Schiszik on Sunday.
The Helping Hand Society of the Christian Alliance church will meet with Mrs. Frank Lenzer on Friday, July 25th.
Miss Bertha Kraut returned on Saturday from a week’s visit with relatives at St. Paul.
The Curtiss base ball team defeated the Riplinger team at Riplinger by a score of 5 to 4 Sunday.
The Luther League of the Ev. Lutheran church will meet with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson on Friday, evening, July 25th.
A business deal was completed the past week when Wm. Williams purchased the former Richard Neuhaus farm on Highway 29, between Curtiss and Owen, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Clara Heinzel of Vancouver, Wash., who is spending the summer with her sisters, Mrs. Art Stadler and Mrs. Allen Knight, spent the latter part of the week with the Fred Machlett family.
The F. W. Laabs family held a reunion this week-end at Lake Esadore and at their home. Those from away were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Laabs and son and Mary Lau Meier, of Springfield, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Laabs of Sullivan, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pease and son of Menomonie.
Guests over the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mowery at Midway were the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mowery and their grand daughter, Betty Mason, his sister, Mrs. James Miller and her twin sons, Donald and Ronald, all of Lima, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Smiley, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Smiley and children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smiley and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Bulgrin and son were guests of the Wm. Hall family at Medford Sunday.
