Hardrath, Herman (17 Dec. 1856 - 19 Sept. 1941)

Funeral services for Herman Hardrath, Sr., who died Sept. 19 at the age of 84 years at the home of his son, Henry Hardrath of Green Grove, Wis., following a lingering illness, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Viking Theater at Loyal with Mr. Petrin of Milwaukee officiating. Burial was made in the Beaver cemetery. Grandsons served as pall bearers.

Mr. Hardrath was born in Germany Dec. 17, 1856, and came to the United States with his parents when he was 14. He grew up in Manitowoc county and was married in 1882 to Emma Molle. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hardrath moved to Green Grove where Mr. Hardrath lived up to the time of his death with the exception of six years in the village of Loyal. His wife preceded him in death in 1933 and one son, Arthur, died in 1901. Surviving are four sons, three daughters, 21 grand children and eight great grand
