Cernoch, Shelby Elaine (January 13, 1947 - October 22, 2007)

Shelby Elaine Cernoch, 60, of Antigo, WI, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.

Shelby was born January 13, 1947 in Eau Claire, daughter of the late Theron and Delores (Smith) Harris. She married Gary Cernoch on September 1, 1973 in Antigo.

She was raised in Loves Park, IL. She moved to Antigo in 1972 where she worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company and later owned and operated a home interior decorating business for fifteen years. She was a member of the B. P. O. E. Elks Lodger 662 Ladies Auxiliary in Antigo, and was a volunteer for Small Paws Rescue. She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, karaoke, casinos and spending time with her dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Cernoch; daughter, Tina (Gary) Poltrock, of Antigo; two brothers, James Harris, of Campbell, OH; and David Harris, of IL; mother and father-in-law, Winfred (Agnes) Cernoch, of Antigo; brothers and sister-in-law, Tom (Teri) Cernoch, of Tomahawk; Al (Cindy) Cernoch, of Antigo; Greg Cernoch, of Antigo; grandson, Jesse Poltrock, of Antigo; step granddaughter, Heather Poltrock, of Wausau; step grandson, Noah Poltrock, of Antigo; and special friends, Vicki Green of Antigo and Connie Kaplenski, of Elcho. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in Neillsville and Antigo also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45 north, in Antigo, with visitation Thursday, from 4 - 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.
