Ruggles, Bernice H. (1891 - 11 JAN 1940)
Funeral services were conducted at two o’clock Sunday afternoon, Jan. 14, for Bernice H. Ruggles, nee Bernice Hannah Scheard, from the First Congregational Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), with the Rev. W.P.D. Powe, officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruggles, 48, passed away at her home Thursday evening, Jan. 11, 1940, in the company of her family, after a lingering illness. Her husband, Arthur, two daughters, Ruth Carol and Doris Elizabeth; her father, the Rev. S.A. Scheard of Green Bay; four sisters, Esther (Mrs. Walter Bray) of Elkhorn, Ruth (Mrs. Willard A. Dustrude) of Hartland, Lois (Mrs. Paul N. Pope) of Waupaca, and Helen (Mrs. Hobart Smith) of Janesville; and two brothers, Richard of West Allis, and Robert of Elkhorn, and a host of sincere friends are left to survive her.
During the services the Misses Theresa and Luverne Marking sang three beautiful duet numbers which were always favorites of their friend.
