A beautiful wedding ceremony was solemnized by Rev. W.P.D. Powe of Owen, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 1940, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Hull, Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.), when their daughter, Orpha Mae, was united in marriage to Donald E. Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Marshall of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co.).
The ceremony began with Mendelssohn’s Wedding March, played by Marjorie Marshall, sister of the groom. It was followed by a duet, "I Love You Truly," sung by David Lee and Bruce Alan, small brothers of the bride.
The couple was attended by Carol M. Marshall, sister of the groom, and Robert O. Hull, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to the immediate families of the bride and groom.
The bride and groom are well known in both vicinities of Thorp and Owen, and their many friends wish them a happy and prosperous journey through life.
