Carlson, R.M. (? - 11 JUL 1940)

Friends of R.M. Carlson, formerly of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) will be shocked to learn that he suddenly passed away at the Elmhurst Hospital at Elmhurst, Ill., on Thursday of last week. Mr. Carlson was stricken a week ago last Tuesday with an illness and was immediately admitted to the hospital where he underwent an operation, however his condition was such that he failed to rally and passed away on Thursday. Funeral services were conducted Saturday of last week at Elmhurst. Mr. Carlson had a great number of friends in this community, for years having lived north of the city on a farm and later establishing himself in business as a painter and decorator.
