At a quiet service performed at Waukon, Ia. Two weeks ago on Thursday, July 12, 1940, Miss Dorothy Moreau and Alex Mannikko were united in marriage.
Miss Moreau is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Moreau of Appleton. Prior to her marriage she was employed as a governess at Chicago. She received her schooling in the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and Wisconsin Rapids school systems.
Alex Mannikko, son of Mrs. Selma Ruuska of the Town of Hoard (Clark Co.), ahs for the past several years been successfully operating a mile route hauling for the Carnation Company and dong general trucking.
The young couple will make their home on a farm in the Town of Hoard for the present. Saturday evening they will entertain their many friends at a free wedding dance at Hinke’s Hall west of Dorchester, Wis.
