William Schultz of the Elmhurst Farms reports that there is a steadily increasing demand for good milch cows and horses and that buyers are coming to this section from Virginia, New Jersey and Illinois in increasing numbers.
Ervin Kademan of Colby, Wis., and Miss Verna Mews drove to Marion Sunday to visit relatives of the former.
Damage of approximately $100 was caused by a roof fire at the W. E. Cook home shortly after midnight Saturday. Volunteers extinguished the blaze.
Van R. Misener spent the weekend with his son, Warren, in Chicago.
