X. Archambo Commits Suicide - Hangs Self in Abbotsford Cattle Yards on Tuesday, Wife Dies in Evening
Xavier Archambo, 62 year old stock buyer of Abbotsford whose home was a mile west of Abbotsford, Wis., hung himself in the stock yards at Abbotsford at about 10:30 Tuesday morning.
Clark County Coroner H. L. Brown said no inquest would be held. Mr. Archambo had been brooding over the health of his wife, who had returned home about a week ago from Rochester, Minn., where she had been receiving medical treatment for the past three weeks. Since Monday evening Mrs. Archambo had been staying with a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Laack, Abbotsford, Wis., who was caring for her.
Mr. Archambo, a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and a resident of Abbotsford for the past 28 years, was born in Merrill, Aug. 2, 1879, and was married at Curtiss to Miss Elizabeth Patitz, who survives with four sons and a daughter, Victor at home, Royal of Sheboygan, James of Chippewa Falls, Theodore of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Arnold (Elizabeth) Laack, Abbotsford, Wis.
Also surviving are a brother, Joseph of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Nora Wilcox of Duluth, Minn.; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Archambo Dies
Mrs. Archambo, who had been in poor health, died Wednesday morning. Funeral services for both will be held at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford Friday afternoon at 1:00 P.M.

Last Rites For Mr. and Mrs. X. Archambo Held at Abbotsford Friday
Double funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon for Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Archambo by Rev. Geo. Griffith at the Archambo home and at the Presbyterian church. Internment was made in the Colby cemetery.
Mr. Archambo, age 62, was found dead Tuesday and his wife, age 59, died of a complication of ailments Wednesday morning at one o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arnold Laack of Abbotsford, Wis. She had returned home about a week previously to her death from Rochester, Minn., where she received medical treatment for three weeks.
Mrs. Archambo, nee Elizabeth Patitz, was born in the town of Mayville, Oct. 8, 1883, and was married to Xavier Archambo at Curtiss on June 18, 1906. For the last twenty-eight years the Archambos had been living at Abbotsford, Wis. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church, Royal Neighbors of America, the O. D. club and the Women’s Home Missionary Society.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter - Victor, at home, Royal of Sheboygan, James of Chippewa Falls, Theodore of Milwaukee and Mrs. Arnold Laack of Abbotsford; three sisters, Mrs. Julius Seifert and Mrs. Harvey Culbertson of Appleton and Mrs. Fred Pudlas of Curtiss; her stepmother, Mrs. Amelia Patitz of Dorchester; a half-sister, Mrs. Lee Jensen of Dorchester; three half-brothers, Edward Patitz of Escanaba, Mich., and Theodore and Herman Patitz of Glidden. There are also five grand children.
