Unity, Wis. - Aug. 27, 1942
Miss Mayme Yahr left Friday for Sioux City, Iowa, after having spent the summer with her sister in Unity, Wis.
The Oak Grove school in the town of Unity opened Monday with Miss Marie Van Slett as teacher.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jordan of Mellen were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steinke and son, Dale, spent the week-end at Milwaukee and attended the state fair.
The Unity school will open for the school year on Tuesday, Sept. 8th.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hause of Milwaukee are spending the week with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hause.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Feit and daughter, Jean, spent Sunday at Abbotsford where they attended a family reunion of the Mrs. John Olson family on her seventy-first birthday anniversary. Forty people were present.
Miss Dorothy Cook of Wausau spent the week-end at her home in Unity, Wis.
Principal and Mrs. Parsons and two children have moved into the house vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Olson.
Mrs. Gust Ringquist, who has been suffering from hay fever, is spending three weeks at Stone Lake.
