Prange, Ella (Marriage - 1 Aug. 1942)

Miss Ella Prange, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Prange of Unity, and Melvin Ramker, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ramker of the town of Hull, were united in marriage at a ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock. Rev. L. J. Lang officiated.

The bride, wearing a white satin gown fashioned with bishop sleeves, long train, and lace insets at yoke and waist, carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. Her long veil was fastened with a seed pearl headdress and she also wore seed pearl ear rings and a gold cross and chain, gift of the groom.

Miss Hildegard Prange, attending her sister as maid of honor, wore a light blue dress of ninon, which was shirred at the waist, and a shoulder length veil to match. Her shoulder corsage consisted of Rubrum lilies tied with blue ribbon.

Miss Alice Schuh, of Colby, as bridesmaid, wore a light pink ninon gown trimmed with lace insertions, and a matching short veiled headdress. Her shoulder corsage of Rubrum lilies was tied with pink ribbon. Both attendants wore crosses to match their gowns, gifts of the bride.

Merlin Ramker, twin brother of the groom, and Paul Sill, cousin of the bride, attended the groom. Each wore a dark suit and a white rose boutonniere.

A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents, with a dinner served to about 60 guests. The home was decorated with white, pink and blue streamers and a large white wedding bell suspended from the ceiling. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pacholke of Eau Claire.

Mr. and Mrs. Ramker will make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Hull, Wood Co., Wis.
