Weiler, Helen Margaret (Marriage - 4 Aug. 1942)

Miss Helen Margaret Weiler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Weiler of Athens, Rt. 1, and Jacob F. Schilling of Edgar, son of Mrs. Martha Schilling of Colby, were married at St. Anthony’s Catholic church at Athens Tuesday morning at nine o’clock. Rev. Norman Thomas celebrated the nuptial high mass at the ceremony.

The bride wore a street-length dress in a pale blue shade, with a large left hat to match. Her accessories were white, and she carried a bouquet of white flowers.

Her sister, Mrs. Andrew Lotter, who was matron of honor, was attired in a light blue street-length dress, and Miss Catherine Urwanger of Chicago, who served as the bridesmaid, was dressed in pale pink. Each wore a large white hat and white slippers, and carried a bouquet of pink, white and blue flowers.

Best man was Ted Weiler, brother of the bride, and Peter Weiler, also a brother of the bride, was groomsman. During the ceremony several appropriate selections were sung by the church choir.

A wedding breakfast, dinner and supper were served to the members of the wedding party, immediate relatives and the pastor. In the evening a reception was held at a hall. Among the guests from away were Mrs. Martha Schilling of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schilling, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Weiler, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Weiler, all of Wausau; Mrs. Roland Esselman of Milwaukee, and Miss Catherine Urwanger of Chicago.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Schilling will be at home to friends about Aug. 12th at Edgar, where the bridegroom follows the occupation of farming.
