Fred Henry Stegemann, son of Mrs. Adolph Stegemann, and Miss Emma Flader, both of the town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage at the parsonage of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Withee on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1940, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. E. Wendling at three o’clock in the afternoon. The couple was attended by Mrs. E. Wendling and Fred Flader Jr., brother of the bride.
The bride was attractively attired in a suit dress of dark green. Mrs. Wendling wore a dress of old rose crepe. The groom and best man wore navy blue suits.
The bride is a graduate of the Withee High School, the class of 1930. The groom operates his mother’s farm in the town of Hixon, north of Owen, Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stegemann left immediately on a short wedding trip through Wisconsin and will be at home after Oct. 1 on the farm northeast of Withee, Wis.
