Looser, Doris (4 OCT 1940)
A lovely quiet wedding was solemnized Friday afternoon in the parsonage of the Congregational Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), when Miss Doris Looser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Looser of the Town of Thorp, became the bride of Richard Hardrath, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hardrath of the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co.). The Rev. W.P.D. Powe officiated at the service.
The bride was beautifully attired in a jacket dress of navy blue roman crepe trimmed with white eyelet organdy. A navy blue felt turban with a long veil and dark blue accessories completed the bridal outfit. She wore a shoulder corsage of Annie Laurie gladioli and pink rose veil.
Miss Irene Looser, maid of honor, wore a navy blue taffeta dress trimmed with white and navy accessories. Her corsage was the same as that of the bride’s.
Alden Hardrath, brother of the groom, was the best man.
A wedding dinner was served that evening to guests and friends of the young couple at the home of the bride’s parents. Later that evening the couple entertained their many friends at a wedding dance given at the Atwood hall.
The newlyweds are now enjoying a fishing trip through the northern section of Wisconsin and after Oct. 16, will make their home in Chicago.
