COLBY -- Phyllis C. Roytek 97, Colby, formerly of Owen, died Tuesday Dec. 20, 2005, at Colonial Center in Colby, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, Wis. Burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Thorp. Father Paul Gitter will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services today at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Phyllis was born July 7, 1908, in Thorp, to Peter and Victoria (Pawlak) Hudzinski. Phyllis and John Roytek were married July 3, 1928, in Thorp. He died Nov. 2, 1977. They farmed in Thorp from 1928 until 1965, moving to Owen in 1971. She was a resident of Colonial Center since 1990. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter-in-law, Donna Krueger of Abbotsford; two granddaughters, Dawn (Chuck) Decker of Dorchester and Diane Arndt of Abbotsford; and three great-grandsons, David, Brandon and Mike.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Barney Roytek, May 17, 1978; a grandson, John Roytek, March 1964; granddaughter, Kathy Roytek, January 1960; five sisters; and one brother.
