Vanderhoof, Irene (1 Aug. 1882 - 7 Oct. 1942)
Mrs. Joel Vanderhoof died at the Memorial Hospital at Wausau, Wis., Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating.
The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vanderhoof, whose maiden name was Irene Van Sleet, was born on August 1, 1882, at Dorchester, Wis., and was married to Joel Vanderhoof in Colby on January 19, 1900. The family had lived in Colby for about 16 years.
Surviving are her husband and the following children: Mrs. Clarence (Sylvia) Olson, Colby; Miss Rosalyn, at home; Mrs. John (Doris) Wagner, St. Paul; Leon, Wausau, and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
There is also a sister, Mrs. Frank Hanna, Minneapolis, and two brothers, Frank of Unity and Louis of Wausau, Wis.
