Henkel, Emily (31 Dec. 1900 - 26 Dec. 1942)
Mrs. Edward Henkel died at a hospital at Oshkosh Saturday, Dec. 26th, where she had been for several years. Funeral services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. A. C. Riley, pastor of the Colby M. E. church officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Nick Kanter, C. A. Nelsen, E. D. Loos, C. J. Kraus, Chas. Rasmussen and Henry Forbish.
Mrs. Henkel, nee Emily Sudoroff, was born in Sevastopol, Russia, on Dec. 31, 1900, and would have been 42 years old on Thursday. She was married in Constantinople, Turkey, on Feb. 6th, 1923. Mr. and Mrs. Henkel came to the United States in 1924 and settled in Colby where Mr. Henkel died in 1928.
Surviving is one son, Clarence, of Colby, Wis.
