Robert Green of LaCrosse spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Green.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary spent the week-end with relatives at LaCrosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer entertained a party of guests from Manitowoc over the week-end.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson entertained at a family party on Saturday evening to celebrate the former’s birthday.

Miss Mattie Sampson of Menomonie is visiting her sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Thompson.

Mrs. Felix Schiszik spent the past week in Chicago visiting her sons, Raymond and Allen and families.

A. M. Erickson and Harold Tonn of the Curtiss State Bank attended the Wis. State Bankers association convention and banquet at Marshfield on Wednesday of last week.

Niel Sheets of Great Lakes Naval Training Station left on Wednesday after spending a short furlough with his parents in Hoard.

Mrs. George Hoff and daughter, Mrs. Louis Boardman and children visited with Mrs. Jack McCorrison in Marshfield on Friday.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Maki of Hoard at the LeGault hospital on Oct. 4th. Mrs. Maki is the former Ilene Blodgett.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Tonn spent the week-end with the latter’s sister, Mrs. Amanda Virch, at Peshtigo.

First Class Pvt. Albert Boxrucker of Camp Gruber, Oklahoma, arrived here on Tuesday to spend a short furlough with his sisters, Mrs. Ole Gilbertson and Mrs. Joe Hennlich and families.

Miss Myrtle Hoff of Scandinavia, and Harley Hoff of Wausau, spent the week-end at their home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Tonn of Toulon, Ill., returned to their home on Tuesday after having visited the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tonn.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brechelin of Dorchester were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff.

Gwendolyn Herrick and Elaine Jakel and Grace Pudlas, students at Central State Teachers’ College, spent the week-end at their homes here.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Meyer, Sr., spent several days over the week-end on a trip to Tomahawk.
