Pvt. DeWayne J. Schweinler arrived at Camp Hood, Temple, Texas, early last week. To Major Francis Schweinler, an instructor at the Tactical Firing and Tank Destroyer School at Camp Hood, the transfer was a pleasant surprise, having been informed of his brother’s arrival. When DeWayne learned that he was to be sent to Camp Hood, he too, was greatly pleased and surprised but did not notify his brother. In a letter to his mother last week he wrote her the glad news, adding" "Won’t Francie get the surprise of his life!" The transfer brought together the eldest and youngest sons of Mrs. Lillian Schweilner’s four army sons.
