Eaton Center - by Stella M. Roehl
Sunday before last we heard a plane go over and all went out to see it. The wind was blowing and the snow falling so no one could see the plane, only hear it, as it was up above the clouds; but in that plane was Buddie Kocher and his general, who were making a trip to Michigan on business. Little do we know these days who is in the clouds above us.
Mrs. Art Becher was taken to the Marshfield hospital where she had an operation for appendicitis.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Billie Hammer a son, on Wednesday. Bill has moved back on his father’s farm.
We had another blizzard and some roads aren’t opened up yet. Such a winter!
The Henry Schendel family is on the sick list.
The snow is 10 feet deep in the roads some places, and in some places you can’t even get through with a team. Some had to unhitch and pull their sleighs out backwards.
