Kiselicka, Joseph Sr. (08 Sep 2007 - 28 Sep 2007)

Joseph Kiselica Sr., 92, Abbotsford, died Friday, Sep. 28, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield.

The funeral mass was held Oct. 2 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Oratory, Wausau with Rev. Glenn Gardner presiding. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronewetter.

Joseph was born Sep. 8, 1915 in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Ambra) Kiselicka.

Mr. Kiselica was an Army veteran of WW 2, serving in the South Pacific and on Iwo Jima. In his earlier years, he worked in the CCC Camps and enjoyed playing the accordion, having been in several bands in Milwaukee.

On Jan 18, 1947, he married Miriam Benzing at St. Ann Catholic Church, Milwaukee, she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Miriam (Benzing) Kiselicha, Abbotsford; eight children, Anthony (Suzanne) Kiselicka, Perkinstown, Joseph Kiselikca Jr., East Troy, Kathleen (Wiley) Sparks, Abbotsford, Wis., andrew (Sharon) Kiselicka, West Bend, Dennis (Janet) Kiselicka, New Berlin, Miriam (Charles) Osterman, Coleman, Daniel Kiselicka, Medford, and Theresa (Kevin) Leow, New Berlin; thirty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Peterson - Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, assisted the family with arrangements.
