Danielson, Arlene M. (Marriage - 23 Feb. 1943)

Wearing a light blue suit, a matching off the face hat and a corsage of pink carnations, Miss Arlene M. Danielson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peder Danielson of Marengo, Ill., became the bride of John R. Mattingly of Union, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Mattingly, at the Lutheran parsonage, Woodstock, Ill., on February 23, at 6 p.m. The Rev. Mr. Kaufman performed the ceremony.

The bride’s only attendant, Miss Rita Aubry of Marengo, Ill., wore a light blue dress and a corsage of red carnations.

The groom and his best man, Robert Sarbaugh, of Union, Ill., wore boutonnieres.

A wedding supper was served, following the ceremony, at the White Café, Marengo, Ill., for the bride and groom and their attendants. A three layer wedding cake with a bride and groom decoration, served as a centerpiece.

The couple spent a few days visiting the bride’s relatives in Greenwood, where on Thursday they attended the golden wedding celebration of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David A. Danielson.

The bride and groom both graduated from the community. High School, Marengo, Ill., in 1942, and are both employed as defense workers at Osters in Genoa, Ill. They are at home to their friends at 514 S. State St., Marengo, Ill.

The bride, a former Greenwood resident, left here two years ago, with her parents, to make their home in Marengo, Ill.
