Miss Gale Preston, daughter of Mrs. Frances Preston of Neillsville, and Joseph Toehnlein were united in marriage at the Holy Rosary Church, Medford, Wis., on Tuesday, March 2, 1943. A reception was held at the beautiful farm home of the groom’s brother, near that city, were he is employed. About 75 guests were in attendance, among them Mrs. Frances Preston and Mrs. Rose Schiller, Neillsville; Tony Schiller, Greenwood; Miss Helen Preston, Beaver Dam, and Miss Catherine Preston, Milwaukee.
Mrs. Toehnlein grew to womanhood in Neillsville, graduating from the Neillsville high school, later taking up beauty culture in Eau Claire, in a branch of a Milwaukee school, in which city she completed the course and obtained her manager’s license. For the last two years she had been employed at Betty’s Beauty Shoppe, at Medford. Both young people will continue in their present situations for a time.
