Holub, Lillian (Marriage - 16 April 1943)
Miss Lillian Holub, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holub, Sr., Neillsville, R. 1, and Cpl, Fred McCarty, son of Jesse McCarty, Sinton, Texas, were united in marriage April 16, 1943, at 3:45 p.m., the ceremony taking place at Sunset Point, Neillsville, Wis. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker performed the single-ring ceremony.
The bride was dresse4d in a gravy tweed suit and a rose blouse, wearing a carnation in her hair.
Mrs. Elsie Holub, sister-in-law of the bride, wore a yellow sharkskin street-length dress.
Ervin Holub, the bride’s brother, acted as best man.
A wedding supper was served at the bride’s home for 26 guests. A two-day honeymoon trip was spent at Marshfield.
The bride attended the Meadow View School. She lived at the home of her parents where she assisted with the farm work.
The groom is a graduate of Corpus Christi High School. He is with the U. S. Army, stationed at Camp McCoy.
The guests consisted of members of the immediate family who live in this community, namely: Joe Holub, Jr., and family, Ladd Holub and Ervin Holub and son, Chas. Shramek and daughter, Frank Matousek and family, Mrs. Mary Matousek and Mrs. Rose Klann.
