Gierl, Helen Elizabeth (Marriage - 10 July 1943)
Miss Helen Elizabeth Gierl, daughter of Mrs. Laura Gierl of Abbotsford, Wis., and Robert Herbert Weideman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weideman of Dorchester, were united in marriage in a simple double ring ceremony performed Saturday, July 10th, 1943, at 8:30 P.M., in the rectory of St. Bernard’s Catholic church in Abbotsford, Rev. Francis Brockman reading the marriage ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gierl, brother and sister in law of the bride, attended the couple.
The bride was attired in a faille crepe street-length dress of forest green and carried a rosary. Her shoulder corsage consisted of dark red roses. Mrs. Gierl as maid of honor wore a faille crepe street-length dress of light rose and her shoulder corsage consisted of roses. Both wore gold crosses.
The couple will be at home on a farm three and one-half miles northwest of Abbotsford where the groom is engaged in farming.
