Martin, Loretta (Marriage - 29 Aug. 1943)
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Martin, formerly of Colby, now of Winona, Minn., announce the marriage of their daughter, Loretta, to Private Norbert Seiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Seiler of Chicago, Ill.
The marriage took place on Sunday, Aug. 29th, 1943, in St. Peter’s Catholic church at Joplin, Missouri, the Rev. Wm. F. Brady performing the ceremony. The couple was attended by Corporal and Mrs. Charles F. Franz of Morristown, Pa.
The bride wore a pink street dress of light weight summer wool with navy accessories and a corsage of gardenias. The matron of honor wore a beige dress of light weight summer wool with brown accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds.
Private Seiler, a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Winona, Minn., is now stationed with the Signal Corps of Camp Crowder, Missouri. Corporal Franz is also stationed at Camp Crowder.
A dinner was given after the ceremony at the Hotel Connor, Joplin, and attended by many friends of the bridal party.
