George Campbell
NEILLSVILLE, Wis. -- George Campbell, 85, of Big Spring, formerly of Neillsville, Wis., died Monday, Jan. 9. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Neillsville City Cemetery with Douglas Bjerke officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.
He was born June 5, 1917, to Ernest and Helen Campbell in Clark County, Wis., and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1940. He served in World War II and later worked for the City of Neillsville, before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Wilson-Heintz VFW Post #2241 and the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post #73 in Neillsville, Wis.
He is survived by one brother, Edward Campbell of Eula; one sister, Florence Anderegg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother and his parents.
