James F. Franken
James F. Franken, 76, died Dec. 20, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Milwaukee and lived in Jensen Beach for 23 years, coming from Neillsville, Wis.
Before retirement, he was a lieutenant for the Milwaukee Fire Department for 29 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Retired Fire and Police Association in Milwaukee and also a member of the I.A.F.F. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include sons, Dennis Franken of Fayetteville, N.C., Scott Franken of Milwaukee, Tim Franken of Brookfield, Wis., and Jon Franken of Thiensville, Wis.; brothers, Thomas Franken of Brookfield and Donald and Curtis Franken, both of Milwaukee; sisters, Nancy Spingola of Lady Lake; Janet Spinato of Milwaukee and Suzie Ford of Slinger, Wis.; six grandchildren; and significant other, Wanda Poirier of Jensen Beach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Franken.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospices of the Treasure Coast at 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34994.
SERVICES: Services will be at a later date in Milwaukee. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach.
