Nehrbass, Esther (Krueger) (25 Apr 1920 - 26 Nov 2007)
Esther Nehrbass, 87, died Monday, November 26, 2007, at her Athens residence.
She was born April 25, 1920 in Athens to Otto and Josephine (Dettinger) Krueger.
Esther and Lester Nehrbass were united in marriage on June 17, 1944. Lester preceded her in death on November 7, 2006.
She was a homemaker and life long resident of the Athens area, farmed with her husband in the Town of Halsey and also taught school in the Town of Halsey. She was a member of the Athens Christ United Church.
Esther is survived by her children, Gary (Jolene) Nehrbass, Janesville, and Pamela (Albert) Peel, Stratford; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three brothers, Orville (Marguriet) Krueger, Wausau, Donald (Carolyn) Krueger, Milwaukee, OR, and Erlyn (Lesley) Krueger, Oregon City, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and three sisters.
Private graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 1:00 p.m., in the Athens Public Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Wisconsin School for the Deaf, 309 West Walworth, Delaven, WI 53115 Attention Marla Walsh.
Maurina - Community Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
