Nolt, Ammon (05 Sep 1931 - 19 Nov 2007)

Ammon Nolt, 76, Curtiss, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at his home. Services were held Nov. 24 at Sunny Ridge Old Order Mennonite Church, Curtiss, Wis. Presiding was Bishop Alvin Martin, Roy Sauder, Mahlons Shirk and Edwin Nolt.

Ammon was born Sep. 5, 1931, in East Earl Township, Lancaster Co., PA, to Daniel and Mary (Martin Nolt.

He married Susanna Shirk on Jan. 20, 1955, in Lancaster Co., PA. He was a lifelong farmer farming in Lancaster County and the Township of Mayville.

Ammon is survived by his wife, Susanna, Curtiss, his children, Elvin (Martha) Nolt, Owen, Ivan, (Verna) Nolt, Owen, Lester (Verna) Nolt, Curtiss; 27 grandchildren; five brothers, John (Barbara) Nolt, New Holland, PA, Issac (Rebecca) Nolt, Latham, MO, Elam (Sarah) Nolt, Narvon, PA, Luke (Alma) Nolt, Ephrata, PA, nine sister, Frances (Weaver) Martin, New Holland, PA, Hattie (Charles) Sagner, New Holland, PA, Lena (Amos) Hoover, Denver, PA, Jennie Nolt, Blue Ball, PA, Susan (Jacob) Zimmerman, Roaring Spring, PA, Rebecca Nolt, Lancaster, PA, Ida (Noah) Martin, Newville, PA, Edna Nolt, New Holland, Pa., and Lydia Nolt, New Holland, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Ion Nolt; three rothers, Henry, Weaver and Adam Nolt; and a sister Amanda Nolt.

Burial was in Sunny Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Ray Nolt, Jonathon Lee Nolt, Leroy Nolt, Harlan Nolt, Curvin Nolt, and Jay Evan Nolt.
