Kleinschmidt, Wilhelm Karl (13 June 1854 - 4 Oct. 1943)

Wilhelm K. Kleinschmidt, 89, a retired farmer, died Monday morning, Oct. 4, at 9:30 o’clock at his home in the town of Unity following a lingering illness.

Wilhelm Karl Kleinschmidt was born June 13, 1854, in Germany and came to the United States in 1884, residing in Springfield, and in 1913, the family moved to the town of Unity, where they since resided.

He is survived by his wife and by four sons, Charles Kleinschmidt, Bloomington, Ill., Henry Kleinschmidt, Decatur, Ill., and William Kleinschmidt, Jr., and Walter Kleinschmidt, both of Loyal; a daughter, Mrs. Art (Hilda) Hollowell, Marshfield; 15 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A daughter, Minnie, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock following short services at the Swarthout Funeral Home at Spencer where the body is lying in state. The Rev. H. C. Hinz will officiate at the services at St. John’s Lutheran church, north of Spencer, Wis.
