Hardrath, William (7 Feb. 1879 - 22 Oct. 1943)
William Hardrath of the town of Green Grove died Friday night at the age of 64 years, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Central Wisconsin Co-operative Funeral Home at Marshfield and then the body was taken to Manitowoc where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and where internment was made. The deceased was born in Manitowoc on Feb. 7, 1879. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran church and the town of Green Grove school board.
Surviving are his wife at Unity; three daughters, Ellen at home; Grace of Chicago and Caroline of Manitowoc; five brothers, Carl of Detroit, Mich., and Walter, Ed, Emil, and John of Manitowoc; his mother, Mrs. Fred Hardrath of Reedsville; four sisters, Mrs. William Miller of Reedsville; Mrs. Art Luedke and Mrs. Francis Mrotek, both of Manitowoc, and Miss Esther Hardrath of Milwaukee. Four brothers, Ernest, Reinhardt, Frederick and Henry, and a half-sister, Mrs. R. Oestreich, preceded him in death.
