Sachse, Louis Albert (27 Feb. 1876 - 23 Nov. 1943)
Louis Albert Sachse passed away at his home in Colby Monday morning at 2:30 o’clock after an illness of several months. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 P.M. at the Lulloff Funeral Home and at 2:00 P.M. at the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Rev. D. Grether officiating.
Mr. Sachse was born in Cleveland, Manitowoc county, on February 27, 1876, thus reaching the age of 67 years, eight months and 26 days. He was married to Rose Steinhaus in Sheboygan county on February 24th, 1900. They came to this community in October, 1908, and engaged in farming until three years ago.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Will E. Sachse, of Colby, one daughter, Mrs. Emil (Hertha) Wolk of Colby, four grand children, Lorraine, Robert and Joanne Wolk and Arlyle Sachse, four sisters, Miss Lizzie Sachse of Cleveland, Mrs. Herman Fischer of Howards Grove, Mrs. Geo. Reinemann of Cleveland and Mrs. Ed Sohn of Kiel and one brother, Dr. F. W. Sachse of Hartford, Wis. One brother, W. F. Sachse, preceded his brother in death.
The deceased was of a very industrious disposition, honest in all his dealings, an indulgent husband and father and a faithful member of the First Evangelical and Reformed church of which he held various offices.
