Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kraut of Curtiss announce the marriage of their daughter, Pearl, to Pfc. Gorton Vorland of Colby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. T. Vorland of Colfax. The couple was married on October 7th at the home of the groom’s brother in law and sister, Dr. and Mrs. Earl Allen Nelson at Minneapolis by Rev. Nye of Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis. The attendants were Dr. and Mrs. Nelson. Following the ceremony the bridal party had dinner at the Colonial Inn.
The bride wore an English Mustard colored crepe dress with brown accessories and a corsage of orchids. For her going away costume, the bride wore a gold tuxedo coat with Russian squirrel fur and matching hat.
After a honeymoon in Minneapolis and Colfax, the bride returned to her Beauty Shop at Colby and the groom to his studies in the A.S.T. program at the University of Minnesota.
