Stock, Violet (Marriage - 25 Dec. 1943)
Wearing a corsage of red roses with her blue velvet wedding dress and matching hat and accessories, Miss Violet Stock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Stock of Curtiss, exchanged nuptial vows with Otto Engel of Withee, Dec. 25th, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Walter Schedler officiated at the ceremony performed in the German Lutheran Church at Withee, Wis.
Miss Lorraine Stock, in a winter green crepe dress with brown accessories, and a corsage pinned to her shoulder, was maid of honor. Albert Urban acted as best man.
A wedding dinner was served to the immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents, decorated with blue and white streamers and a Christmas motif.
The couple is now at home on the groom’s farm near Withee, Wis. Mrs. Engel, a graduate of the Owen High School in 1941 and of the Marathon County Normal School at Wausau in 1943, teaches a rural school near Thorp.
Guests from away included Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rueden and son, Larry, Jr., Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Marx, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lange, Dubuque, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buss, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Menkel and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Engel, of Withee, Wis.
