Aviation Cadet

Elroy A. Bruss, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bruss of Colby, is now enrolled as an aviation cadet in the army air forces pre-flight school for pilots at the Maxwell Field, Ala., located on the outskirts of Montgomery, the capital of Alabama. Here the new class of cadets is receiving nine weeks of intensive military, physical and academic training preparatory to beginning their actual flight instruction at one of the army primary flying schools in the Army Air Forces Eastern Flying Training Command. Cadet Bruss is a graduate of Colby, Wis. High School, class of 1940, and attended Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana, 1940-43. He was a member of the Sigma Del Kappa fraternity.
