Earl, Edith (3 Feb. 1882 - 2 June 1965)

ABBOTSFORD--Mrs. Edith Earl, 83, Abbotsford, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church here. The Rev. Charles Glidden will officiate, and burial will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The body will repose at the Polnaszek Funeral Home from Thursday until Friday noon and then at the church.

The former Edith Dorenberg was born Feb. 3, 1882, in Abbotsford, Wis., and had lived here her entire life. She was married twice. Her first marriage was to John B. Thompson, who preceded her in death in 1936. The couple had operated the Thompson Hotel here for many years. She then married Fred Earl, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Alvin (Adeline) Anderson, La Belle, Fla.; and Mrs. Louis (Edna) Cattanach, Boscobel; and a stepson, Charles Earl, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
