Johnson, Louise Ann (21 June 1934 - 22 Nov. 2007)

Louise Ann (Nowak) Johnson

Louise Ann (Nowak) Johnson passed away peacefully at home in rural East Troy surrounded by her loving family on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at Nitardy Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson on Saturday, Dec. 1, at noon. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Flowers are welcome; however, the family kindly asks that all who loved her consider giving a donation in her name to the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

A Memorial Service will be held in Withee next summer to celebrate Louise's life of loving and giving and for the spreading of her ashes. Details will be announced.

Louise was born in Lublin on June 21, 1934, the only child of Walter Nowak and Eleanor (Klosowski) Nowak. She graduated as valedictorian from Withee High School, class of 1952.

She married Jack L. Johnson in Lublin on July 3, 1954. They lived in Milwaukee after marriage, and then moved to rural East Troy in 1958 where they made their home ever since.

After high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and then the University of Wisconsin-Stout for a total of two years. After marriage she worked at Sears as a loan office clerk, administrative assistant at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the office manager of the Fluid Power Society. She served as the treasurer of IDAS Engineering Inc. until the time of her death. All the while, she selflessly attended to her family's needs.

She is survived by her husband, as well as six children, Jack J. (Eva) Johnson of Hamburg, Germany; Jeffrey Johnson of East Troy; Ann (Dan) Bakke of Elkhart Lake: Brian Johnson of Withee, Susan (Tim) Brockmann of Fort Atkinson; and Barbara (Charles) Stuart of Lexington Park, Md. Also surviving her are two aunts, Minnette Galorawicz of Lublin and Jeanette (Jenny) Krieger of Hollywood, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, Rebecca (Tony) Barr of Clinton, Christopher Johnson of Appleton, Julia Johnson of Menomonee, Alexander Johnson of Hamburg, Germany, Matthew and Eric Bakke, both of Elkhart Lake; Justin Brockmann, Jacob Brockmann, Ethan Brockmann, Caleb Brockmann, all of Fort Atkinson; Tatianna Weigand of Palmyra, N.Y., Linnea and Analise Stuart, both of Lexington Park, Md., and one great-granddaughter, Jayden Barr of Clinton.

Louise was preceded in death by both her parents, Walter and Eleanor Nowak, and a grandson, Mark Johnson.

Her family remembers her as the loving, caring, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as the pillar of strength that she truly was. She was loved by and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
